I think this may be key to finding out you most wanted car. Because if it satisfies all your want and desires in it's most stock form than surely it is the best car for you.
I think for me it might be the E36 M3 Coupe. I would love one with stock wheels stock paint stock interior stock wing stock suspension stock motor etc.
Most other cars I would like to own I want them in their highly modified state. Where as a M3 I might just add coilovers CAI exhaust and be perfectly happy with it.

I would leave E30 M3 much more stock than I would leave a E36M3. In fact I would leave an E46 M3 more stock than a E36, the E36 is the M3 I feel like I would be most likely to modify, 1995 Intake Manifold, Short throw shifter, CAI etc.
For me the answer is probably either S2000 or E46 M3.

A 2003 BMW M5 E39 in Silverstone Blue.

I prefer to leave cars stock, and I would never buy a tuned or customized car either.

Yes please. I would like one as well.

Nvm I thought the blue you mentioned was this one. This is what I would take:
I would also keep it stock.

Yes! Leave it totally stock! That's what I want to get my M3 back to. Maybe just an intake, chip and short shifter.

Ahh, LeMans Blue. They're both good colours, it would be a hard decision between the both for me.

Any Ferrari. Whether it was a $35K Ferrari or a $350K Ferrari.

Silverstone is probably more unique. LeMans is a common color for that car. I just always loved that body style in the darker blue.
Not bimmer-related but my favorite blue of all time is Audi's Nogaro Blue:

The GT3 911. That car, unlike the Turbo, is about balance between power and handling rather than brute force. It drives fine, looks great and sounds awesome. I see no reason to change it.

Any factory performance model. If I'm going to change out the suspension, massage the engine, cut weight, whatever I'd start with a basic ride.

It's trackday ready from the factory, though i'd still change the tires. M3 is a close second. Its a better 1 car for everything. 90% of the 911's performance, but more comfortable for daily driving.

I really would like to stuff an H1 V8 in there. A car like that just deserves more that the 300HP it got.
Goddamnit Honda, why can't you give us at least one decent V8...

Largely because, I doubt there's anything available worthwhile to do to it... Well, except maybe wheels and tires. Perhaps some better shocks. I believe I've seen an STI trans swapped into them... But that's it, I swear.

Not sure if I would leave any car stock. Even if its just an exhaust...
![]() 12/24/2013 at 19:20 |

yeah neither would I but the nearer I would leave the car to stock I think is an indicator to me how much I want like the car.

How stock do you mean? Shortly after I win the lottery I'll get an as-near-to-stock SAAB Monte Carlo as I can, but I'll put a car stereo and modern tires on it.

The CTS-V wagon, because it is perfect.
IT IS PERFECT.
It does not need a cold air intake — the stock plastic intake feeds the beast just fine and fits in with the rest of the Wizard's Curtain engine bay covering.
It does not need an aftermarket exhaust — inside, the engine is audible but unobtrusive; outside, the civilized rumble says "kindly step off."
It does not need to be lowered or murdered-out. It does not need a tune or a pulley swap.
It is a Cadillac that hauls stuff and hauls ass. It is polished and poised and powerful.
It does not need anything but Premium.
Lots and lots of Premium.

I think I own the last stock 2003 Evo in the world. I'm waiting for the Smithsonian to request I donate it so it can be the reference standard.

Our favorite future classic Japanese sports cars. I want mine stock. No rims, body kits, coil overs, hids, a-pillar gauges, fartcans, sound systems, TVs in the headrests, stanced, donked, nothing.

I'd take either of the Toyobaru twins, switch out the wheels, and lower the car ever-so slightly. Something like this, maybe:
